Great Bay Academy of Dance (GBAD) announces its Holiday Season suite of productions, The Nutcracker Tea and "An 1836 Portsmouth Nutcracker".
"An 1836 Portsmouth Nutcracker"
Now heralded as Portsmouth's Nutcracker, "An 1836 Portsmouth Nutcracker" will appear in its 23rd Season at The Historic Music Hall on December 16th, 17th & 18th. This favorite family holiday past time has been enhanced for the 2011 production and Seacoast audiences will be enchanted like never before by the story of young Clara Goodwin and her heroic Nutcracker Prince. The production features the Goodwin Family who dwelled at Strawbery Banke, a snow storm in front of Market Square's North Church, and a dream scene that takes place in the Piscataqua River Harbor. Over 100 locally cast dancers and actors fill the stage with classical ballet and brilliant costuming. Guest Artists include Barrington Hinds (NYC's Stephen Petronio Dance Company), Lissa Silk, Timothy Stokel and scene choreography by Alden Caple under the Artistic Direction of Elisa Gerasin. This is an event not to be missed! Call The Music Hall Box Office for tickets today at 603.436.2400 or visit
